SESSIONS, FEES AND CONTACT
How many sessions
- Most appointments are 90 minutes in length, though it is possible to arrange longer sessions. I find that one hour is seldom sufficient time to cover all the topics that come up within a session. Session take place on a one-to-one, face-t0-face basis at a venue to be agreed in the Bristol area. This format enables us to build up a trusting relationship which enhances the process. If you have time constraints, i am also happy to work with you over the phone.
Fees
- My fee for individual coaching is £70 for 90mins (£50/1 hour). The session is paid for in person either cash or cheque (with guarantee card). I charge the full fee for appointments cancelled with less than 48 hours notice.
Initial meeting
- I offer a free initial consultation of 30 minutes, after which you are under no obligation. This enables you to discuss your requirements and then to understand the process we will undertake, and its protenial to give you an exciting future. You can then walk away and reflect on whether you would like to work with me.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN COACHING AND COUNSELLING?
The aim of counselling is usually to understand the root cause of longer term issues and emphasis is on the ‘problem’, e.g. what causes you to avoid relationships?
In contrast, coaching focuses on goal-based objectives and ‘solutions’, e.g. what do you want instead? It focuses on how to get something we want but don’t currently have and how to deal with problems that are preventing us from reaching our goals and being happy and successful.
Coaching assumes that clients are psychologically healthy with no underlying psychological problems to hold them back from making progress towards their goals.

As a qualified Life Coach I offer:
- Techniques and simple strategies for helping you to close the gap between where you are now and what you want to achieve
- Techniques for learning how to deal with negative thoughts and mental blocks.
- A type of support that focuses on achieving positive results and is forward looking
- Processes and easy-to-follow models to help you to make choices for yourself and make your life more purposeful
- A professional relationship myself and you, providing assistance in clarifying and supporting you to achieve meaningful goals and making practical decisions.

HOW DO I KNOW IF COACHING IS RIGHT FOR ME?
- I offer a free initial consultation of 30 minutes, after which you are under no obligation to have a session or contact me again. This means that we can discuss your issues and you can go away and reflect on whether you would like to work with me.
- It is extremely important that you feel comfortable with me in order to get the most out of any sessions. I will also consider whether I am the best person to work with you and how the techniques I use will help you get the results you want.
- If I don’t believe that I can help you I will ensure you do not waste your time and where possible refer you on to someone with more relevant experience.
HOW MANY SESSIONS WILL I REQUIRE?
There is no exact answer to this. Just one session will often spark off some different thinking and we could be tempted to think we’ve found some solutions. However, without continued support, old habits will inevitably rise to the surface and any changes will quickly fade. I usually recommend booking six sessions initially, so that you make a commitment to the process of change and have support while you identify and integrate these changes over a period of time.
Some clients like to then have less frequent sessions to help them keep on track or challenge themselves further. Whatever your needs I can be flexible, the intention is to find what works for you.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I AM LATE, MISS AN APPOINTMENT, NEED TO RESCHEDULE/CANCEL AN APPOINTMENT?
- The coaching session will end at the agreed time, even if you are late, as session timings are fixed.
- If you need to re-schedule or cancel any appointment it is crucial that you give as much notice as possible by calling or texting me on my mobile (48 hours at a minimum), otherwise you will be charged the full cost of a session and this will not be re-scheduled unless further payment is received.
IS IT NOT JUST AS GOOD TO TALK THINGS OVER WITH MY FRIENDS?
- Having friends to share thoughts with is great but it’s different. Your friend will have their own agenda even if they’re a good friend. What you do has an impact on them and their lives, whether it’s because your decision could take you to another country or because they can’t imagine doing what you are proposing.
- When I listen to you I have only your agenda to focus on and I have no attachment to the outcome of any of your decisions. I also have the skills to ask questions that can shift your thinking and create new insights.
HOW WILL THE COACHING SESSIONS TAKE PLACE?
